We worship in a Silent Meeting on Sunday (First Day) at 10 AM. If this is your first time attending, please open the door and walk in. If Meeting has already started, please find a seat that looks comfortable.
We are a traditional Quaker Meeting and come together in silence for about an hour. It is our hope during this period of silence that we can find guidance through the Spirit of God.
Silent Meetings are known as unprogrammed worship. Even though this is a silent meeting, as individuals become centered in the silence, they may be led by the Spirit to offer a message or a “vocal ministry”. So don’t be surprised if someone begins speaking during Meeting. This is all part of the Quaker process of discernment.
Meeting lasts about an hour. An appointed meeting member will say “Good Morning” and shake hands with those nearby, which will end the worship.
At the close of Meeting, Friends will be happy to talk to you further about your experience and answer any questions you may have. Please sign our visitors book, located on a table near the front door. All are welcome and we hope to see you soon.
